Platform Update v2.6.28

Sysadmin
Fluency Sysadmin

The Microsoft 365 applications can be set up with an app registration you create yourself, instead of through admin consent. Workday, Abnormal Security, Azure Event Hubs and Qualys move to the new platform, and resource polling for Office 365 and SentinelOne runs as a separate job.

Changes

Manual setup for the Microsoft 365 applications

The Office365, Office365 Resource Watch and Azure Directory Audit templates support manual configuration as well as admin consent:

  1. Go to Platform → Applications → Install Application from Template and open the template.
  2. Under Parameters, clear Enable Admin Consent Mode?.
  3. Enter the Azure Tenant ID, Azure ClientID and Azure ClientSecret of your app registration.

One app registration that holds the permissions of all three applications can serve all three, using the same client ID and secret.

Manual setup suits a tenant where the consent flow is blocked, for example by browser protection, or where policy requires an app registration you own. Admin consent remains the default.

See Install Application from Template, Office 365 Activity API, Office 365 Resource Watch and Azure AD audit.

Applications on the new platform

These applications are now available on the new platform:

Resource polling as jobs

  • Selected Resource Watch plugins run as jobs on a separate worker, apart from the instance's other integrations. Office365 Resource Watch and SentinelOne run this way.
