AWS Assumed Roles and CloudFormation Templates (v8.240602)

Sysadmin
Fluency Sysadmin

AWS integrations can now authenticate with an assumed role, managed on a new AssumeRole page, and come with CloudFormation templates and IAM policies. Multi-tenant sites gain an Invitations page, and the Fluency Collector can write its HEC and RabbitMQ data to S3.

Changes

Multi-tenant mode

  • New Invitations management page, listing the admin consent invitations sent from the site.

Interface

  • The Google OAuth confirmation page shows Google's data use policy.

AWS integrations

  • Assumed roles. A new AWS AssumeRole management page registers the roles Fluency assumes in your AWS accounts. See AWS Roles and Connecting to AWS.
  • Security Lake with an assumed role. The AWS Security Lake integration can authenticate with an assumed role.
  • Templates. CloudFormation templates and IAM policies are provided for the S3, Kinesis and instance-role integrations.
  • EC2 instance profile role. Authentication by EC2 instance profile role is available on every site in the fluencyplatform.com domain. Sites in the fluencysecurity.com domain are updated on request.

Fluency Collector

  • The HEC and RabbitMQ receivers can write to an S3 sink.

Fixes

  • Fixed a Fluency_ResourceLoad bug with SentinelOne resources.
